The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that Nurlan Abdirakhmanov has left his role as First Deputy Chair due to a move to another job, with Chair Madina Abylkassymova and staff formally acknowledging his departure and thanking him for his service. The agency highlighted his contribution to improving financial sector regulation and supervision, strengthening engagement with foreign regulators and international organisations, and advancing protection of consumers of financial services. Abdirakhmanov spent more than 20 years in the National Bank of Kazakhstan system starting in 1998, held multiple senior roles including chair of Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund, joined the agency as Deputy Chair in 2019, and became First Deputy Chair in 2022.
