The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) announced the winning teams of the Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) Developer Hackathon, highlighting solutions designed to use IADS to enable secure, customer-consented account data sharing. The announcement at the IADS Developer Conference marked the conclusion of a six-month programme launched in October 2025 to bring banks and fintech firms together on practical use cases for Hong Kong’s banking sector. Following a selection process and mentorship phase, five finalist teams presented their solutions to a panel of judges. HKSTP supported the competition with a sandbox testing platform and technical support, and the HKMA indicated it will continue collaborating with banks and fintech firms to encourage broader industry adoption of IADS.
