The National Bank of Moldova has begun preparing the implementation programme for the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Moldova 2030. The programme is intended to turn the strategy’s general objectives into concrete interventions, activities and mechanisms to strengthen financial inclusion nationally, with a focus on helping individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises make active use of accessible, safe and quality financial services. The 2026 to 2030 programme will support work on diversifying financial products and services, expanding digital financial services, strengthening consumer protection, promoting responsible financial inclusion, improving the population’s financial capability and enhancing the framework for collecting financial inclusion data. It is also intended to raise awareness and reinforce shared responsibility for sustainable financial inclusion. The concept paper has been published, and comments and proposals may be submitted until 26 June 2026.
