The Bank of Portugal issued a warning that the entity using the names “Sim Emprestimo Servico” or “Meuemprestimo” and operating via https://servicodeemprestimoeu.jimdofree.com/ is not authorised to provide lending or any other financial activity subject to the Bank of Portugal’s supervision in Portugal. The central bank noted that lending, as defined in Article 4(1)(b) of the Legal Framework of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies, may only be carried out by authorised undertakings under Article 10 of that framework. It also pointed to its website for the list of undertakings authorised to carry out lending activities.
