The Palestine Capital Market Authority and the Palestinian Land Authority announced the transfer of responsibility for regulating, supervising and overseeing the real estate appraisal profession to the Palestinian Land Authority. The transfer implements the 2026 Real Estate Appraisal Regulation, which entered into force on July 28, 2026. Real estate appraisers licensed by the Palestine Capital Market Authority will remain licensed through the end of 2026. Training periods already completed by trainee appraisers will count as practical experience toward licensing requirements. The authorities will coordinate the transfer of files under institutional, technical and legal arrangements intended to maintain uninterrupted services. They will also meet licensed and trainee appraisers to explain the new supervisory arrangements and procedures for handling applications and files.
