The Central Bank of Barbados has issued a call for papers for its 45th Annual Review Seminar, scheduled for July 21 to 25, 2025 in Bridgetown. The seminar will focus on “From Recovery to Resilience: Ensuring Macroeconomic Stability Amid Emerging Risks,” with an emphasis on research that helps assess emerging risks and understand the pass-through effects of global dynamics on small open economies. The Bank listed indicative topics including global spillovers, cyber risk and artificial intelligence, climate risk and net-zero transition, regional competitiveness, sustainable growth and development, financial sector development and inclusion, monetary policy tools and transmission, and fiscal sustainability. Abstracts must be no more than 150 words and include keywords and JEL codes, with objectives, main findings, and conclusions clearly identified. Abstracts are due by June 6, 2025, with acceptance notifications on June 16, 2025. Final papers are due by July 7, 2025, and general registration for non-presenters closes on July 11, 2025; presented papers will be considered for the Central Bank of Barbados’ Working Papers Series through a peer review process.
