The Central Bank of Uruguay has changed the schedule of its Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) meetings, bringing forward the meeting originally set for 12 February to 26 January. The related Copom statement will be published at 13:00 on 26 January. The Board cited changes in the global context, including disruptive dynamics that could affect inflation’s convergence to, and persistence at, the 4.5% annual target. An additional meeting will also be held in March, with the date to be announced.
