The Central Bank of Seychelles has announced the second cohort of its Youth for Youth (Y4Y) Financial Education Ambassadors programme, selecting 12 participants aged 16 to 25 through an application process for the 2025 edition. The initiative is positioned as a peer-to-peer approach to promoting financial education among young people. The programme has two core components covering an introduction to Seychelles’ financial system and the development of soft skills such as effective communication and peer counselling. Participants will be supported by the National Financial Education Secretariat to develop and implement community-based financial literacy projects, and will take part alongside Central Bank of Seychelles staff in financial education activities. The cohort will run until the end of May 2026. The first edition of the Y4Y Financial Education Ambassadors programme was launched in 2021 with 43 participants.
