The Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority has set out new requirements following amendments to the Real Estate Brokerage Act effective from 1 July 2025. Real estate brokerage firms must conduct fit and proper assessments of settlement assistants and trainee real estate brokers and notify the authority within 14 days of hiring. The firm must first complete its own assessment before submitting the notification. Reporting is to be made via the Altinn form KRT-1157, with a police certificate and diploma attached.

The Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority has introduced new requirements under the amended Real Estate Brokerage Act, effective 1 July 2025.
