Ryan Turnbull, parliamentary secretary to the minister of finance and national revenue, will represent Canada at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Finance Ministers’ Meeting in Hong Kong, China, on Oct. 20-21, 2026. Discussions will cover the global economic and financial outlook, fiscal support for households and affordability, digital infrastructure financing, access to financial services and employment opportunities. Turnbull will also meet government and business leaders to pursue trade diversification, investment and strategic economic partnerships. The visit follows Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne’s recent engagements in China and India.
