The National Bank of Moldova reported that it transferred MDL 910.41 million to the state budget in July 2026 after completing its 2025 financial year and obtaining an independent external audit of its financial statements. The payment represents half of the bank’s distributable profit of MDL 1.82 billion, with the remaining MDL 910.41 million allocated to increase its statutory capital. Before the allocation, statutory capital equaled 6.93% of total monetary liabilities. Under applicable law, distributable profit must be divided equally between statutory capital and the state budget when that ratio is between 4% and 10%. The external auditor confirmed that the bank’s individual and consolidated financial statements, prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards, fairly presented its financial position and results.
