The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) issued a public warning about six loan applications that it does not supervise and that offer predatory loans, and filed a criminal complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office against those responsible. The apps, available for download from Google Play and other websites, are APP PRESTAMOS RAPIDOS - ALTA CUANTÍA, APP RAPILUKA-PRESTAMOS RAPIDOS, APP GANAFACIL-PRESTAMOS RAPIDOS, APP INTI PRESTAMO, APP BANACREDI - PRESTAMO RAPIDO, and APP SACO FACIL. The CMF also pointed the public to its Fraud Alerts page, which allows users to verify whether an entity or person offering financial products or services is supervised by the CMF and to consult alerts issued by the CMF and other foreign regulators.
