The Securities Commission of The Bahamas issued a public notice warning that Huber Management Divisions (HMD) is not registered or licensed with the Commission and may be conducting activities in or from The Bahamas that require authorisation under securities, investment funds, financial and corporate services, or digital assets legislation. It also flagged that HMD’s website falsely claims the firm is authorised and regulated by the Commission. The notice states that HMD markets itself online as a financial wealth asset manager and/or digital asset business operator, bears a name similar to Huber Management Ltd. (a Commission-regulated entity authorised to conduct securities business), and contains material that appears to impersonate or clone proprietary information belonging to Huber Management Ltd. The Commission urged the public not to confuse HMD with the legitimate regulated firm, and directed investors to verify authorisation through its registrant and licensee listings and to submit complaints or information to its Enforcement Department.
