The Central Bank of Poland reported that the M3 money supply rose by PLN 23.2 billion in August 2026 to PLN 2,923.7 billion. The increase was driven mainly by repurchase agreements and higher deposits and other claims of nonfinancial corporations and households. Repurchase agreements increased by PLN 9.8 billion, or 100.8%, to PLN 19.5 billion. Deposits and other claims rose by PLN 6.8 billion for nonfinancial corporations and PLN 4.8 billion for households. Debt increased across other financial institutions, households and nonfinancial corporations, while net debt of central government entities rose by PLN 5.9 billion to PLN 602.9 billion.
