The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding to enhance collaboration in areas of common interest, aimed at supporting global financial stability and strengthening the Global Financial Safety Net. The agreement sets out cooperation through joint research and events, capacity building, and staff exchanges, with a focus on leveraging both institutions’ expertise to expand knowledge sharing and policy dialogue. The memorandum was signed by AMRO Director Yasuto Watanabe and AMF Director General and Chairman of the Board Dr. Fahad M. Alturki on the sidelines of the 10th Regional Financing Arrangements High-level Dialogue held during the 2025 IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C.
