The Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) has published a reporting package to launch a data collection and testing exercise for sampled credit and financial institutions. The exercise is intended to test and calibrate AMLA’s risk assessment models, which will inform the 2027 selection of up to 40 entities for AMLA’s direct supervision starting in 2028 and support consistent assessment of money laundering risks across EU supervisors. Participation is limited to entities already notified by their national competent authorities. The reporting package, developed with national supervisors and sampled entities through feedback rounds and early familiarisation with a draft template, includes an interpretative note, the reporting template, a recorded webinar explaining requirements and next steps, and webinar slides. Participating entities are requested to submit their data by 22 April 2026.
