The Bank of Russia announced that it will issue new ‘Saint George the Victorious’ investment coins on 10 January 2025, comprising a 3-ruble silver coin and a 50-ruble gold coin. The 3-ruble coin contains 31.1 g of fine silver (fineness 999/1,000) and is 39.0 mm in diameter, while the 50-ruble coin contains 7.78 g of fine gold (fineness 999/1,000) and is 22.6 mm in diameter. Both coins are minted in uncirculated quality with a relief rim, feature the Russian Federation coat of arms and inscriptions on the obverse and Saint George slaying a dragon on the reverse, and have a corrugated edge. Mintage is up to 500,000 pieces of each coin, and the coins are legal tender in the Russian Federation and must be accepted for payments at face value without restrictions.
