Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (CONDUSEF) recognized MetLife's renewal of its Service Badge for Older Adults, first awarded in 2024. The authority said effective service for older customers requires a cultural shift within financial institutions, rather than relying solely on protocols and procedures. CONDUSEF urged MetLife and other insurers to adopt the Universal Insurance Format, which presents a policy's essential features in a single, accessible physical or digital document to support understanding and comparison. The authority cited the need for clearer information and easier processes, noting that people aged 60 and older account for about 32% of banking complaints, 22% of insurance complaints and 54% to 55% of complaints involving retirement fund administrators.
