The Central Bank of Chile has made available to the public the Goods Foreign Trade Monitor (MCE), an interactive dashboard that visualises Chile’s goods exports and imports across monthly, quarterly and annual views, with data downloadable in Excel and CSV formats. The tool replaces the Central Bank’s “External Trade Indicators (ICE)” publication, whose 2024 results edition is the final release in that series. The MCE covers monthly export and import flows from 2003 onwards, broken down by destination/origin country and product, including 78 countries and 161 products. Visualisations allow users to rank products by partner country, identify the top 10 partner countries for a given product and the top 10 products for a given partner country, view partner positions on a world map by trade values for a selected product, examine Chile’s bilateral trade balance with each country, and track time series by selected product and country. Updates are scheduled for the 18th of each month, or the next business day, with results for the previous month. Revisions will be incorporated alongside quarterly and annual balance of payments closing publications, in line with the Central Bank’s publication and revision policy.
