The Superintendency of the Securities Market of the Dominican Republic has signed an interinstitutional cooperation agreement with the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications to strengthen technical, regulatory and strategic coordination between the two bodies. The agreement is aimed at supporting the development and modernization of the securities market and the country’s digital ecosystem. The arrangement covers measures to promote digital governance, interoperability between financial supervision and telecommunications supervision systems, regulatory innovation, and the use of electronic trust services such as digital signatures, authentication and electronic certification. It also creates collaboration mechanisms for the prevention and mitigation of technology risks through information sharing, technical assistance, and cooperation on cybersecurity, data protection and incident management.
