United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment announced a reorganisation of the Net Zero Financial Service Providers Alliance (NZFSPA) after publishing target-setting frameworks across its functional groups. Stock exchanges, research and data providers, index providers and auditors will pursue their activities independently of the NZFSPA, including by integrating work into other existing forums and working groups. Members of the NZFSPA’s Research & Data and Index provider groups will be invited to participate in existing PRI climate workstreams, creating structured opportunities to gather feedback from asset owners and asset managers on improving the quality, consistency and accessibility of climate-related information. The Exchange group will continue its work under the UN Sustainable Stock Exchange (UN SSE) initiative as the Net Zero Exchange Group – SSE Climate Leaders; the group has tripled in size since the NZFSPA’s launch, and members follow the target-setting framework and report against it annually.
