The Ontario Securities Commission announced that Michael Aonso, a director and officer of Strike Holdings Inc. and KM Strike Management, has been convicted of unregistered trading and illegal distribution of Strike Holdings securities and sentenced by the Ontario Court of Justice to 90 days in jail. Aonso, of Mississauga, Ontario, entered a guilty plea on November 11, 2024. He was co-accused with Kevin Carmichael, the other director and officer of Strike Holdings and KM Strike Management, who pleaded guilty on January 8, 2025 to securities fraud and making misleading statements to investors and was sentenced to four years in jail and ordered to pay CAD 22.7 million in restitution. The charges followed an investigation by the OSC’s Criminal Investigations & Prosecutions team, with Securities Act charges prosecuted by the OSC.
