The Central Reserve Bank of Peru published trade figures showing non-traditional textile exports reached USD 141 million in March 2025, up 12.9% year-on-year. Export volumes rose 11.3% and export prices increased 1.4%. The bank linked the volume increase to higher exports of cotton apparel to the United States (the main market), Colombia and Germany, and cotton fabrics to Colombia. For the first quarter, non-traditional textile exports totalled USD 422 million, a 16.5% increase versus the same period a year earlier, driven mainly by higher volumes (+14.6%) and, to a lesser extent, higher prices (+1.7%).
