Bolivia's Ministry of Finance reported that the Wholesale Price Index rose 2.07% in August 2026 from July, bringing the cumulative increase through August to 1.97% and the 12-month rate to 2.77%. The index tracks nationally produced and imported goods traded through wholesale channels and does not reflect household consumption. The Consumer Price Index remains Bolivia’s sole official measure of inflation. Prices for nationally produced goods increased 1.74%, contributing 1.46 percentage points to the monthly result, while imported goods rose 3.76% and contributed 0.60 percentage points. Manufacturing was the main driver in both categories. Among domestic goods, fresh chicken, coca leaves and corn were leading positive contributors, while potatoes and husked rice reduced the index. For imports, motor vehicle parts, industrial and automotive greases, and pharmaceuticals were among the largest upward contributors.
