The Monetary Authority of Macao reported that 78 university students completed its 2026 financial talent programs, comprising 21 participants in a wealth management pilot and 57 in its summer internship program. The two programs attracted more than 350 applications and have provided theoretical and practical training to more than 500 Macao participants since their respective launches. The five-week wealth management pilot combined one week of classroom training with a four-week placement in wealth management departments at local financial institutions. The authority plans to deepen cooperation with educational institutions, industry bodies and professional associations, with a particular focus on training for the bond market, wealth management and investment funds.
