The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo said it held a workshop with the Kosovo Banking Association, commercial banks and international experts to coordinate implementation timelines and technical preparations for the TIPS Clone fast payments platform, the new Law on Payment Services and Kosovo's future integration into the Single Euro Payments Area. The session focused on the next phase of payment infrastructure modernisation and the operational work needed across the banking sector. Discussions covered operational readiness, technical coordination, cybersecurity, interoperability, liquidity management, fraud prevention, cyber resilience and alignment with European standards and the payments regulatory framework. The central bank highlighted the need for close coordination among banks, non-bank payment service providers, technical service providers and international partners, and said it will continue that cooperation as implementation advances.
