Launched by Minister of State with responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance Robert Troy, the call advances a commitment under the Ireland for Finance Strategy 2026–2030, launched in August 2026. The group will operate for an initial six months, providing strategic advice to the government from across industry on digital assets. Its remit includes crypto-assets, tokenised financial instruments, distributed ledger technologies and emerging forms of digital value. The group will identify practical actions to support Ireland’s competitiveness as tokenisation develops.
