Croatia's Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa), presented the “PutNaTržište” initiative to potential partners as a sandbox-style educational and simulation programme for companies exploring capital markets funding with mentoring support from regulators and market experts. The programme is designed to give firms a realistic view of processes such as initial public offerings, bond issuance and access to venture capital without incurring actual regulatory obligations or costs. The initiative aims to encourage more companies to consider capital markets as a financing source, increase their readiness for public offerings, and strengthen business transparency and professionalisation. Project partners will participate voluntarily through mentoring, education and expert assessment of candidates; participation for companies will be free, and firms can decide after completing the sandbox whether to pursue a real financing process. PutNaTržište is positioned as part of the Action Plan implementing Croatia’s Strategic Framework for capital markets development. The Ministry of Finance and Hanfa will continue preparatory work, focusing on further consultations and discussions with potential partners to build the conditions needed to launch the sandbox.
