The National Bank of Ukraine reported that it allocated about UAH 20.3 billion in February 2026 from its special fundraising account to meet the needs of the defense forces. As of 1 March 2026, the account balance stood at over UAH 9.9 billion, with more than UAH 4 billion received during the month. Since the account was opened on 24 February 2022, the equivalent of over UAH 155 billion has been received, including over UAH 133 billion remitted from abroad in foreign currencies. Total allocations since the start of the full-scale war exceeded UAH 146 billion, led by transfers to the Defence Procurement Agency (over UAH 90.6 billion, including UAH 19.966 billion transferred on 23 February 2026) and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (over UAH 38.7 billion), alongside allocations to other security and emergency bodies and to regional military administrations.
