The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) Board attended the ceremony marking the 171st anniversary of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA), using the event to reaffirm that the CNV is continuing to reform, transform and innovate the regulatory framework for Argentina’s capital markets in line with the government’s agenda. The commemoration brought together President Javier Milei, senior cabinet officials, and the president and vice president of the central bank, alongside market participants and BCBA members. Milei’s closing address highlighted the government’s approach to addressing central bank balance sheet and public finance issues and pointed to further reforms, while BCBA President Adelmo Gabbi emphasised the role of capital markets in converting savings into investment and the importance of a solid, transparent market. CNV Chair Roberto E. Silva attended with Vice Chair Sonia Salvatierra and directors Laura Herbón and Manuel Calderón, and credited coordinated work with the economic team for the CNV’s reform efforts.
