The State Bank of Vietnam hosted a meeting between Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh and Kim Jong Yoon, Chief Executive Officer of Korea’s NICE Information Service, in the context of the Korean President’s official visit to Vietnam. The exchange centred on Vietnam–Korea financial sector ties and NICE’s interest in contributing to Vietnam’s credit information market. During the meeting, the Deputy Governor highlighted the expanding presence of Korean financial institutions in Vietnam through wholly foreign-owned subsidiary banks, foreign bank branches and finance companies, and their role in diversifying capital supply and supporting bilateral investment and trade. NICE presented itself as Korea’s largest credit information company, providing credit information and corporate analysis backed by a large domestic credit database and credit rating and analytical expertise, and indicated it hopes to play a constructive role in Vietnam in the period ahead.
