The Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority published its 2025 review of motor claims handling, finding that insurers continued to meet more than 99% of statutory deadlines across all claim types, although the overall reported noncompliance rate rose from 0.27% in 2024 to 0.54%. Insurers reported 539,118 claims processes and 2,893 instances of noncompliance, compared with 544,576 processes and 1,449 instances a year earlier. Compliance reached 99.87% for claims involving only property damage, 99.77% for bodily injury claims and 99.41% for claims involving both. Average handling times remained well below statutory limits and broadly stable, including for more complex claims involving both property damage and bodily injury. Use of the jointly completed accident statement in third party liability cases involving property damage fell to 49%, from 50% in 2024 and 53% in 2023. The findings are based on insurer reporting and published handling times, while the authority assesses the validity of reported explanations for delays through onsite supervision.
