The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) and Finternet Lab, an initiative of the Networks for Humanity Foundation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on developing secure, interoperable digital infrastructure, including work to connect GLEIF’s verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) credentials with Finternet Lab’s open-source tools. The collaboration will explore integration of vLEI credentials with platforms and components including UNITS, DeDi frameworks, and transaction protocols, aiming to address challenges in digital identity, data provenance, and ecosystem interoperability. Joint initiatives are expected to test real-world vLEI use cases across finance, sustainability, and supply chains through pilots and hackathons, alongside efforts to define common standards and governance models.
