Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance (SSN) presented a new Data Collection and Exploitation model aimed at modernising insurance supervision through more timely information, continuous forward-looking assessment, and early-warning alerts supported by risk monitoring and cross-checking of databases. The model includes a shift to microservices for data submission and introduces new reporting systems, including the Comprehensive Claims Information and Analysis System (SINIAS), covering claims by insurer across notifications, reserves, payments and recoveries; the RI system for financial and solvency information; and the SIEP system focused on underwriting data. The SSN expects the technology change to replace several legacy requirements and platforms, including SINENSUP, the IRIS Fraud Control System, PrismaNET and Aero, and to support new statistical reports and dashboards based on the collected data. Implementation is planned to be progressive, with testing for SINIAS and RI starting in the coming months. RI is scheduled to move to production with mandatory use in October 2026, while SINIAS will become mandatory from January 2027.
