The Central Bank of Latvia has issued an authorisation to CSP Growth Solutions SIA to operate as a crowdfunding service provider. The authorisation allows the firm to facilitate the granting of loans via a crowdfunding platform and to provide related ancillary services, including individual portfolio management of loans, use of a bulletin board, applying a credit scoring feature to crowdfunding projects, and proposing the price and/or interest rate of crowdfunding offers. The central bank noted that authorisation is required under Regulation (EU) 2020/1503, and that it maintains a national register of authorised crowdfunding service providers while the European Securities and Markets Authority maintains an EU-wide register.
