Serbia's Ministry of Finance has warned that fraudsters are promoting investment platforms that falsely claim its support. The ministry does not endorse any investment platform and urged the public not to invest, disclose personal or financial information, or open links in related emails. The scheme is presented as a state investment project involving the European Union and the ministry, using the names “RS Invest” and “Kraken Capital Limited.” Fraudsters have also misused ministry information and the image of caretaker Finance Minister Siniša Mali. Following reports from people who were deceived, the ministry notified the Ministry of Interior and asked recipients to report the messages to the competent authorities.
