The Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority has opened a selection process for two authority-designated members of the Investor Compensation Fund’s board of directors, including the board chair. The appointments will carry five-year terms, and applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2026. Candidates must meet statutory education, reputation and integrity standards and have at least eight years of financial-sector experience if qualified in economics or law, or 10 years if qualified in another field. They must also satisfy criminal and tax record requirements and restrictions covering political office, relationships between board members, interests in participating entities and sanctions imposed by the authority or the National Bank of Romania.
