The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission has concluded its first 2026 Meet the Regulator (MTR) Forum series, spanning the British Virgin Islands, Panama, London and Hong Kong, and used the outreach to announce a decision to open a Latin America representative office in Panama before year-end 2026. The series opened in the British Virgin Islands on 17 February 2026 with more than 200 stakeholders from trust and corporate service providers, insurance, fiduciary services, virtual asset service providers, investment business, money services and other financial services sectors. Subsequent sessions included a BVI Financial Services Roundtable Meeting in London with over 50 stakeholders from the United Kingdom and Europe, and a Hong Kong forum with more than 100 attendees. The Commission has made presentation slides from the series available on its website, and plans to publish a full roundup in its Q1/2026 newsletter.
