Dubai International Financial Centre reported the official inauguration of National Bank of Kuwait’s new branch in DIFC, adding to the bank’s United Arab Emirates footprint and focusing on cross-border banking solutions across the region. The DIFC branch holds a Category 1 licence from the Dubai Financial Services Authority. The new office is NBK’s fourth branch in the UAE and is positioned as a hub for the group’s international operations, offering a broad range of financial services to clients across global markets. DIFC framed the addition as evidence of continued interest from Gulf Cooperation Council banks in establishing operations in the centre, while NBK linked the move to facilitating cross-border capital flows, supporting clients operating in complex markets, and contributing to regional financial integration, including areas such as digital innovation and sustainable finance.
