In remarks to the Financial Literacy and Education Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Deputy Director Mark Paoletta outlined the bureau’s financial education work, including the development of resources related to Trump Accounts and the exploration of data-driven artificial intelligence tools to improve access to and delivery of educational materials. The bureau is focusing on providing information when consumers are making relevant financial decisions. The Trump Accounts resources will help teachers, parents and communities explain early investing, build children’s financial skills and support long-term use of the accounts. The bureau is also developing targeted materials on fraud, scams and other financial topics for servicemembers, veterans, older Americans and young adults. Its financial education products have been accessed more than 11 million times.
