The Central Bank of Colombia published its Credit Situation Report with data as of December 2025, summarising findings from its quarterly survey on credit conditions in Colombia. The report assesses participating lenders’ perceptions of credit supply, demand and access, tracks changes in lending and allocation policies over the quarter, and sets out expectations for the next period, with an additional section focused on microcredit outside the main supervised perimeter. The survey covers credit institutions that grant loans, including banks, finance companies and financial cooperatives. To complement the microcredit assessment, the report includes an addendum analysing the current situation of microcredit for a sample of entities not supervised by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia, such as cooperatives and foundations, examining portfolio quality and financial risks alongside supply and demand perceptions. Other topics include the recent use of loan modification and restructuring operations and the average financial burden of borrowers taking new household credit in the housing and consumer segments.
