The Central Bank of Ireland has appointed Mícheál O’Keeffe as Director of Policy and International. In the role, he will join the Bank’s Senior Leadership Team and lead the development of financial regulation across domestic and international work. O’Keeffe currently serves as Senior Advisor to Minister Paschal Donohoe in his capacity as President of the Eurogroup. His previous roles include Chief of Staff and Counsellor to the Governor at the Central Bank of Ireland and Senior Advisor to the Deputy Governor for Monetary and Financial Stability, and he began his career at the European Central Bank as an economist and supervisor. He is scheduled to take up the position on 23 June.
