The Brazilian Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) issued Ordinance 84/2025 establishing how associations representing pension plan participants and beneficiaries can be admitted as “interested parties” in administrative proceedings handled by PREVIC’s Licensing Directorate (DILIC), expanding access to information and participation during the licensing process. The ordinance implements Article 152(2) of PREVIC Resolution 23/2023. During the evidentiary and instruction stage of a case, an association may request admission at any time by submitting the required documents via PREVIC’s ombudsman channel. Once admitted, the association may file arguments and submit documents during the instruction phase, with the process intended to provide clearer access to data and clarifications within the case file. Ordinance 84/2025 entered into force on 30 January 2025.
