The Central Bank of Russia will issue three 2-ruble silver commemorative coins on Aug. 4, 2026, featuring the Caucasian wildcat, spectacled eider and toad-headed agama. The coins continue the Red Data Book series dedicated to nationally protected flora and fauna species. Each proof-quality coin contains 15.55 grams of silver with a fineness of 925 parts per 1,000. The central bank will mint 5,000 coins of each design. The coins will be legal tender in Russia and must be accepted without restriction at their face value.
