The U.S. Department of the Treasury has appointed David Zervos as a counselor in the Office of the Secretary. Zervos brings 35 years of experience in global financial markets, central banking and macroeconomic analysis. Zervos joins from Jefferies, where he served as chief market strategist and head of the Global Macro Division for Leucadia Asset Management. He previously managed global macro portfolios at UBS O’Connor and Brevan Howard Asset Management and worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board, later returning as a visiting adviser during the global financial crisis in 2009.
