The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) provided technical assistance to Kuwait’s Central Administration of Statistics to improve the collection of financial and banking sector data by using administrative records as an alternative to traditional surveys. Delivered through a technical mission in the first quarter of 2025, the work used information from official sources including banks and insurance companies to strengthen the accuracy and efficiency of data compilation. The cooperation produced a documented methodology and a reliable financial sector time series for 2019–2023, supporting national accounts consistent with the 2008 System of National Accounts recommendations and enabling ongoing updates under the revised approach.
