The Bank of Cape Verde has defined a standard structure for microfinance institutions’ price lists, requiring all entities in the sector to use a common format for disclosing pricing information. The model, set under Notice No. 02/2025 of 25 March, is designed to present interest rates, fees, commissions and other charges in a clear and transparent way so customers can better understand service costs and compare offers across institutions. An accompanying information leaflet summarises the essential elements of the price list and provides guidance on appropriate disclosure. From 1 January 2026, all microfinance institutions must publish their price lists using the Bank of Cape Verde’s format and ensure the information is visible, transparent and kept up to date.
