The Bank of Japan published its statement of assets and liabilities, showing total assets of JPY 677.776 trillion and matching liabilities and net assets. Japanese government securities were JPY 544.395 trillion, entirely in Japanese government bonds with no treasury discount bills. Holdings also included loans of JPY 79.521 trillion, index-linked exchange-traded funds held via trusts of JPY 37.186 trillion, foreign currency assets of JPY 11.432 trillion, corporate bonds of JPY 2.718 trillion, Japan real estate investment trusts held via trusts of JPY 0.655 trillion and commercial paper of JPY 0.030 trillion. The largest liability items were current deposits of JPY 470.945 trillion and banknotes of JPY 120.606 trillion, with other deposits of JPY 55.247 trillion, government deposits of JPY 5.131 trillion and payables under repurchase agreements of JPY 9.218 trillion. Provisions were JPY 10.586 trillion. Annex tables put Loan Support Program amounts outstanding at JPY 55.041 trillion and showed JPY 24.947 trillion in loans provided through pooled-collateral funds-supplying operations, disaster-area support and climate change response facilities.
