The Central Bank of Montenegro has launched preparations for implementing the Twinning Project “Support to Financial Services Regulation in Montenegro”, following a meeting between Governor Irena Radovic and the project team to set initial guidelines for the implementation work plan. The project started on 1 September and runs until September 2027 with a EUR 1.8 million budget funded from Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) resources. It is led by the Deutsche Bundesbank and supported by the Croatian National Bank, the National Bank of Slovakia, the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency and GIZ, with an aim to enhance the financial sector’s efficiency, accountability and security. Further details on objectives and activities are due to be presented at an official launch ceremony planned for the coming weeks.
