The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) announced the appointment of Dexter John as its new Chief Executive Officer, with the role taking effect on 1 March 2025. John is currently President and CEO of Morrow Sodali (Canada) Ltd. and brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across governance, risk management, and regulatory work, including prior roles at the Investment Dealers Association, the Ontario Securities Commission, and the Toronto Stock Exchange. He also serves on FSRA’s Board of Directors, where he has chaired the Business Technology Transformation Committee and sat on several other committees. Stephen Power will step down after serving as Interim CEO since July 2024.
